Last updated: 25 July 2026
1. About us
These terms apply to all work carried out by Brokehall Heating & Plumbing Ltd (“BHP”; company number 17342516), of 36 Arundel Way, Ipswich, IP3 8SG. We are Gas Safe registered, registration number 670614.
2. Quotes and pricing
Quotes are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Prices are based on the information available at the time of quoting; if the scope of work changes once we're on site, we'll agree any additional cost with you before proceeding wherever possible.
3. Booking and scheduling
Appointments are booked on the day(s) agreed with you. We'll aim to give reasonable notice of any changes to an agreed appointment. Access to the property and any relevant isolation valves/stopcocks must be available at the agreed time.
4. Payment
Invoices are payable on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept bank transfer and other methods as agreed. Outstanding balances may be subject to late payment terms in line with UK law.
5. Guarantees and warranties
All labour carried out by BHP is guaranteed for a minimum of 12 months from completion, unless a longer period is stated on your invoice. Parts and appliances are covered by the relevant manufacturer's warranty; we will assist with manufacturer warranty claims where applicable.
6. Gas Safety Certificates
Gas Safety Certificates are issued following an inspection carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer and reflect the condition of the appliances and installation at the time of inspection only. It remains the property owner's or landlord's responsibility to arrange renewal inspections before the certificate expires; we provide renewal reminders as a courtesy where you've given consent to receive them.
7. Cancellations
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or rearrange a booked appointment. Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a reasonable call-out charge.
8. Liability
We carry appropriate public liability insurance for the work we undertake. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
9. Complaints
If you're unhappy with any aspect of our work, please contact us as soon as possible so we can put things right. Contact details are below.
10. Consumer rights and governing law
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
11. Data protection
We process personal information in line with our Privacy Policy. It explains how we use customer information, your rights and how to contact us about data protection.
